Château Berliquet was bought in 2017 by the Wertheimer family, which already owns the 1er Grand Cru Classé and immediate neighbor Château Canon , as well as the Cru Classé de Margaux Château Rauzan Ségla . Historically known for their firm and straightforward style, Berliquet wines are now evolving towards a more open profile, with more expressive fruitiness, without losing any of their original finesse. This Grand Cru Classé is very well located: 7.5 hectares on the hillside of the clay-limestone plateau. Alongside Merlot, Cabernet Franc is being replanted to eventually reach 50% of the vineyard.
