Known by many names, its tree is part of the Annonaceae family which grows in many tropical countries. The Guanabana, or Soursop is a fruit that on average weighs 2.9 kg, of which 75.6% correspond to pulp, 4.8% seeds, 12.7% peel and 6.9% the rachis. Its pulp is sweet with a slight sour taste, with around 17.2 degrees Brix and on average 171 seeds per fruit. It is said that the Soursop is a fruit that cures cancer and has been used to fight this disease for the past 40 years in the USA, Europe and Asia. Nutritional information: Rich in antioxidante, Vitamin C, fibres, potassium and magnesium. Researchers have proved that it can help to fight cancer by reducing the tumor cell sizes and may stabilize blood sugar levels.
