The Philippine coconut production was hit by typhoon Rai

The typhoon Rai hit the Philippine agriculture industry. The damages the coconut trees suffered were relatively big, accounting for about 25% of agricultural damages. As a follow-up measure, the Philippine Coconut authority released about USD 4.5 million in coconut fertilization program, concentrating on restoration of the affected areas.
