50/mt of Imported Soybean from USA have arrived

Soybean imports from the United States have entered Indonesia. According to the BULOG, 50,000/mt of soybeans from the US already available in BULOG Warehouse, and are ready to be distributed. While the total assignment from the government is that Bulog will be importing 200K/mt of soybeans. BULOG currently waiting for Recipient list from KOPTI (Indonesian Tempe and Tofu Producers Cooperative). Apart from the United States, other countries will be explored for soybean import options, from Thailand to Brazil. The deciding factor will be quality, suitability for Tempe and Tofu production, availability and most importantly is price. This because soybean can have big impact toward Indonesian inflation.
