Immediate action will be taken against fishermen who are found deliberately leaving their nets in the sea to become a ghost net. Phantom' refers to abandoned nets where it catches fish or coral habitats and eventually destroys fisheries in Malaysia. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Agroindustry, ghost nets are not a new issue. All nets that affect marine life will soon be removed. Nets will be taken away for everyone who violates the terms.
