Pepper prices in Vietnam dropped after reaching a peak of VND 60,000 / kg. Local exporters have stopped selling their produce as they speculate that prices will rise further. On the other hand, prices dropped by 9.6% in Chu Se district, Gia Lai province and by 13% in Dong Nai province. Price of white pepper also decreased by 2.9% reaching VND 66,000 / kg . At the port area of Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam, the price of black pepper exports decreased has the demand reduced after large quantities of 150,000 tons were imported.
