Due to the abundance of land in Flores regency of East Nusa Tenggara province, the government of Indonesia is currently trying to stimulate the agricultural sector in the region, especially for peanuts, by providing soft credit loans for the local farmers to cover their production cost. This newly launched credit loan is intended to rejuvenate the peanuts industry in the region that has been stagnating due to the difficulty by the local farmers to bear the production cost. The government expects that by the end of 2020, the available 18 Kha of land can be maximized for peanut plantations in this region.
