Nutrient film technique (NFT) uses a very shallow stream of water, containing all the dissolved nutrients required for plant growth. The water is re-circulated past the bare roots of plants. Hydroponic systems uses 20 times less water than soil based gardening, the environment is sterile, which means there are no pesticide, and it uses 20% less space for growing than regular growing.
