India has lowered tariffs from 30% to 10% on lentils imported from several countries including Canada. The reduction is in effect until the end of August 2020. Lentils grown or exported from the United States are not eligible for the reduction and will be taxed at the 30% rate. Canadian suppliers should see an increase in demand from India as a result.
