The widespread drought that happened across Indonesia in the last quarter of 2019 has decreased the overall production output of peanut in the harvest season during the first quarter of 2020. The accumulated output of peanut production until March 2020 is expected to be around 700 MT, which is significantly lower than the production volume of 1000 MT last year during the same period. Due to low production volume, a majority of peanut suppliers in Indonesia have decided to focus exclusively on accommodating the domestic demand.
