In Indonesia, despite the decreasing demand for wheat flour in the first quarter of 2020 and early in the second quarter of 2020, the manufacturers are still trying to increase their production capacity to anticipate the sharp increases in demand post coronavirus pandemic. These manufacturers target that the production capacity would reach 1500 MT/day, from the current production capacity of 1000 MT/day. Aside from imported wheat, this industry is also sourcing whole wheat from the local farmers, especially in the producing regions in Eastern Indonesia, to ensure the supply of raw materials to support their production processes.
