Onion traders in Kenya are pleased with the re-opening of Tanzania - Kenya border. They were complaining about the shortage of onion since the borders were closed and even a few stocks they remained with were expensive. Onion prices have risen 86% since the closing of the borders. A large percentage of the onion used in Kenya comes from Tanzania.
