Malaysian fishermen are raising prawns in shallow waters

Many fishermen began to take steps to raise their own shrimp instead of catching wild-caught shrimp in rivers around Sarawak and Pahang. This is because for the past few years many fishermen have encountered crocodiles while fishing for wild-caught shrimp in the river. Shrimp areas in rivers around Malaysia often have crocodiles because it is said that crocodiles like to eat river prawns. To avoid any accidents, fishermen started raising river prawns in shallower and safer river areas.
