Indian horticulture production to be higher this year

The government estimate for the production year 2019-20 has pegged the overall horticulture production and stock to be higher by 3.13% year-on-year, compared to 2018-19.
Almost all vegetables and fruits production is expected to be higher this year, with onion crops likely to be higher by 17% at 27.74 MMT.
Total fruit production is likely to be at approximately 99.1 MMT compared to 97.97 MMT last production year.
