Production of hyacinth beans in Myanmar are expected to increase as demand from foreign markets continues to rise

Lablab bean or Hyacinth Bean is not only highly consumed by local people but also increasingly demanded by foreign buyers. Chinese traders have started purchasing lablab bean since 2013. Now the beans are also exported to Japan, Singapore and India. Some Myanmar companies also export value-added lablab peas as ready-to-eat baked peas to Singapore. It is expected that the lablab plantation is going to increase in Myanmar.
