Jackfruit prices in Vietnam decreases by more than 50%

The domestic price of jackfruit in Vietnam has declined steeply by approximately USD 1.00 to about USD 0.35 per kg. The main reason for this decline is the huge harvest this year, which has created a surplus of fruit in the Vietnamese market. Furthermore, due to the pandemic, exports of fresh tropical fruits have decreased, which is further driving down prices.
