The harvest of strawberries with long-shelf life starts in Yayladagi, Turkey

The strawberry production had started 10 years ago with state support in Yayladagi district of Hatay and nowadays the strawberry harvest areas have expanded to 250 hectares.
The harvest has just started in the area and the production volume is expected to be around 7 kmt. The strawberries from the area are known for high-shelf life and strong aroma which is why it is a variety best suited for exports. The exports had started last year with 500 tons to Russia and this year it will continue with exports to Russia and Romania.
