The demand for aloe vera in the market has been on the rise over the past two weeks as the national consumers are looking for extra means of protection to deal with the coronavirus outbreak. This plant is known traditionally in Indonesia as a natural antiseptic that can be used to sanitize hands especially before eating. Amid the diminishing supply of chemical hand sanitizer on the market across the country due to the recent panic-buying pattern, more and more people are now forced to go back to the traditional way of cleaning hands with aloe vera. Still, as this commodity is not really traded widely and not easily available on the traditional markets, the consumers need to go find it on the modern markets chain across the country or buy it from the local growers.
