Pulse exports have increased over the last month due to lockdown refusal

Tanzania's pulse subsector has grown from 20% to 48% during the period of January to May 2020 due to government bold decision to refuse lockdown the country as prevention of the spread of COVID-19.
During the period, pulse suppliers got a chance to export chickpeas, green grams, cowpeas, beans, and pigeon peas mainly to India, China, Kenya, Uganda, and the United Arab Emirates Which were under lockdown during the period of January to May.
