The federal government through the Ministry of Agriculture has purchased most of the produce harvested this season. Despite the purchase, they have not paid the producers for the last 2 months. Lack of funds is hindering preparation for the summer season. Most suppliers sold their produce through the federal program as the prices were 15% above the market prices.
