Iran stocks up on main food supplies, imports 1 million tons of commodities

Iran strengthens its position on main food supply stocks and has imported 1 million tons of vegetable oil, raw sugar, and rice from the 21st of March until today.
In 40 days Iran has managed to purchase 240 KMT rice, 411 KMT vegetable oil, and 300 KMT raw sugar. According to Iranian officials, the imported quantities are sufficient to cover the domestic demand and there is no room for food shortages.
The purchased quantities are said that will have been delivered in parts to secure the necessary distribution to different regions within Iran.
