Peanut is highly acceptable among Filipino consumers, but its high cost may explain its minimal consumption in the Philippines. Raw peanut is extremely rare in the Philippines as nearly 13 districts produce peanut only for peanut butter. Because it is not widely purchased by Filipino, peanut butter is usually produced for export purposes.
