Since most quail breeders are small-scale breeders, they prefer to supply live quail than processed quail meat. This is because when a quail is slaughtered earlier without a buyer, it will damage the quail meat and its quality. It is best to have quail slaughtered only when there is an order. Due to this, buyers in Malaysia mostly have to buy the live quail instead of the processed ones.
