Global surplus of olive oil could potentially detriment Australian olive oil exports

Spain is the world's largest producer and exporter of olive oil and is going through an oversupply which is causing prices to fall dramatically.

This could affect the Australian olive oil exports industry which will have to compete with low global olive oil prices. This could adversely affect farmers, processors, and exporters of olive oil in Australia.
