Palm oil used for hand sanitizers amidst Corona crisis

Due to the shortage of hand sanitizer and the rising prices, Malaysia's neighbor Indonesia uses palm oil to make hand sanitizer. The idea came to fruition in Bali because of concerns over the availability of alcohol-based disinfectants. Among the additives mixed with alcohol from the palm oil are clove oil and mint to reduce hand irritation. Within a week, they were able to produce 96 percent germ-containing fluids that meet the World Health Organization (WHO) standards.
