The mandatory of ISO certification for cow milk manufacturing companies in Indonesia

In order to ensure the quality of the cow milk produced nationally, the government of Indonesia will make it mandatory for the medium-size milk manufacturer to also obtain the ISO certification starting from 2021. Previously, only the big-sized manufacturers were mandated to have the ISO certification as they have larger market share and distribution scope. The failure to meet this requirement could result in the suspension of the business license for the manufacturers. This new regulation would also apply to imported cow milk, in which the manufacturers will also re required to include the ISO certification from the imported milk during the clearing process in custom.
