Higher prices expected for Bulgarian vegetables

According to the forecast by the Bulgarian Center for Agri-Policy Analysis (CAPA), most of the domestic vegetables will see their prices increase.
Tomato production output is expected to increase by 2% and reach 148 KMT at the end of 2020 while, fresh pepper production is to decrease by 5% and go down to 59 KMT.
Cucumber production output is to see a slight increase from 73 KMT to 74 KMT by the end of the current year.
Farmgate prices of greenhouse tomatoes are forecasted to have an increase of 15% and reach an annual average of €0,62 per kg while cucumber prices are forecasted to maintain their price level at around €0,66 per kg.
