The National Agency for the Development of Oasis Areas and the Argan Tree (ANDZOA) has allocated 48.3 million DH for the Dared project to carry out the planting and tree maintenance of argan trees and aromatic and medicinal plants.

This project is part of the implementation of the Development of argan farming in the devalue environment (DARED) program. Indeed, the latter concerns the perimeters located in three provinces and expects to implement the planting and tree maintenance of argan trees and caper bushes on an area of 700 ha in the province of Essaouira, 60 ha for Sidi Ifni and 710 ha for Tiznit.
It worth mentioning that argan farming is a main component of the Green Morocco Plan and aims to support government efforts to relieve pressure on the argan grove areas and improve living conditions of the populations by increasing their income and strengthening their resilience through the diversification of their activities.

In this context, the establishment of argan farming aims to promote agriculture in vulnerable areas and collecting water in order to strengthen the resilience of the territories most affected by climate change and by establishing activities intending gender mainstreaming and knowledge management.
The areas concerned fall within the regions of Guelmim-Oued Noun, Marrakech-Safi and Souss-Massa.
