Canadian companies looking to repurpose cannabis greenhouses for produce

As Canada's cannabis industry struggles, there is increasing interest in switching some of the vacant greenhouse space dedicated to its production toward growing vegetables again. Canada imports a lot of its produce, as the climate allows for limited production, and COVID 19 has pushed the issue of domestic food security back to light. When cannabis was first legalized in Canada in 2018 many greenhouse produce growers switched to growing cannabis, but with the market struggling they are looking to switch back.
