European food and beverage trade expos continue to be postponed

The Salon Gourmet and Alimentaria trade shows, both in Spain, have been postponed in efforts to contain the spread of Coronavirus. Salon Gourmet was scheduled for April 29-May 2 and has been pushed to June 15-18. Alimentaria was scheduled for April 20-23 and has been pushed to September 14-17. This serves as a blow to international buyers and suppliers in the meat, seafood, wine, and specialty food industries as both shows bring together thousands of attendees.
