With an expansion of U$ 25.5M in the last five years, Argentina is positioned third, followed by Brazil, its main buyer. It is the result of the export growth of 53% in value and 22% in volume during the 2015-2019 period.
It is only surpassed by Turkey (the main exporter worldwide) with U$ 92.M and Afghanistan with U$ 71.6M in the same period.
Brazil is the main market for raisins produced in Argentina with U$ 47.7M. It represents 65% of exports, followed by quite a distance by Colombia and the US with 9% and 7%, respectively.
Argentine raisins only reach two of the top 10 raisin import markets (Brazil and the United States). The three main import markets are the United Kingdom, Germany and India, representing 30% of the total traded; while the 15 main markets reach practically 70% of the total.
