In Dalat, Vietnam, tons of vegetables had to be discarded when the restaurants and hotels in the city were closed due to the COVID-19 epidemic. The estimated cost of discarded vegetables are thousands of USD. According to several vegetable suppliers in the city, orders from hotels and restaurants have started to gradually decrease starting from the end of February, but starting April 1st (the date of official social distancing implementation), all orders have stopped. Currently, the vegetable suppliers in the region are only selling their products to the local market.
