Lock down hit poultry farmers hard

Producers and processors of poultry in Nigeria are experiencing continued loss and spoilage as a result of restrictions placed by the government to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus in Nigeria.
With inadequate cold storage facilities in Nigeria, livestock processors and producers depend on daily purchases from from buyers to prevent spoilage.
There is currently no inter sate movement and intra state movement is limited to essential workers in Nigeria. The widening nature of the corona virus pandemic poses great challenges to food production across Nigeria.
