Watermelon prices in the Malaysian local market fell by MCO due to the COVID outbreak. The current price of MYR1.40 / kg is currently only selling at MYR0.70 / kg due to the sudden drop in demand. Tonnes of watermelons that are not sold cause suppliers to lower prices to attract buyers.
