Philippine government urging jackfruit suppliers to serve the local demand instead of exporting

The Department of Agriculture Philippines recommends jackfruit suppliers in Manila to supply more to the domestic market instead of export. This is because although Mindanao supplies a lot of jackfruits in the Philippines since Manila is very far from Mindanao the jackfruit usually not imported from Mindanao. Therefore the demand in Manila is higher than supply in that state every year making suppliers comfortable to just focus in the local market.
