Bagoong, also known as fish paste or shrimp paste, is a popular condiment in the Philippines that is made from fermented fish or shrimp and salt. The fermentation process also yields patis, or fish sauce, another popular condiment. The manufacturers are experiencing low production due to the COVID-19 pandemic as there are also less demand of the product right now in the country and even abroad.
