Dry bean supply is low across the Midwestern United States as a smaller fall 2019 harvest due to poor weather led to increased winter prices. Many farmers sold stock at this time and the increased demand has continued into the spring as Coronavirus has increased demand at the retail level domestically. Uncertainty in the market remains as farmers are unsure of the quality and volume remaining in the fields for the spring harvest of last year's crop and 2020 planted acres are still unknown.
