In order to expand its spices market to Tunisia, the Indonesian government is currently trying to approach the Tunisian government to form a Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA). This agreement is expected to open up the market for spices such as black pepper, white pepper, and nutmeg from Indonesia to Tunisia and it is also expected that this agreement ensures that spices products from Indonesia can benefit from the low entry fee to enter the Tunisian market. Working on this trade agreement is a part of the expansion goal to further introduce Indonesian spices to the Northern African market, aside from the countries where Indonesia is currently exporting its spices products to such as Algeria and Egypt.
