Although pili nut is extremely popular in Philippines, still very few suppliers are willing to export it. This is because the shell of this nut is so hard that even machines can not break that without damaging the nut itself. Only manual process can ensure the precise extraction of nut from shell and that manual process is quite expensive. Due to that extensive production cost most of the suppliers do not consider to process that nut for export purpose.
