Barley malt import restrictions being implemented by the federal government.

The ministry of agriculture is currently working to implement a law that will force local beer producers to buy 100% of locally produced barley before they're allowed to import from other countries.

The new law is expected to take effect by early next year to protect the local producers, and guarantee market for their produce.
