Iranian agricultural exports rise by 26% in the first month

Iran has seen an increase of 25.8% in agricultural product exports during the first month of the Iranian calendar (March 20 - April 19) and rose up to 680 KMT and generated $336 million in value.
During the Iranian last year, the country has realized exports of agricultural products 7.1 million tons in volume and $5.8 billion in value.
The five leading export products in volume from last year were watermelons, apples, tomatoes, potatoes, onions, and shallots whereas, in terms of value pistachios, tomatoes, apples, and watermelons were the leading products.
On the other hand, Iran last year imported 2.1 million tons and $831 million worth of food products.
