Tanzania is a country with a large number of livestock keepers. Meat production has increased from 690,629 tonnes in 2018/2019 to 701,679 tonnes in 2019/2020 equivalent to an increase of 1.6%. Whereby 486,736 tonnes of beef, 95,964 tonnes of goat meat and mutton, 80,601 tonnes of chicken meat, and 38,377 tonnes of pork.
