Turkish honey exports aim to reach 100 million USD of export value

Turkey's honey exports have quintupled in the last 8 year and the exporters have now set their export target for the year as 100 million USD. Turkey has exported 25 million USD of honey in 2019. The honey export volume in the first 5 months of 2020 is around 10.7 million USD. Germany and the United States were the main export destinations for Turkish honey exports.

Turkey's annual honey production is around 70 to 80 kmt. Nearly 20 to 25 kmt of the honey produced in Turkey is pine honey which makes up nearly 90% of the world's pine honey production.
