Vietnam to import large amount of breeding pigs from Thailand to stabilize prices

Vietnam is implementing a plan to import 20,000 breeding pigs from Thailand. With the imports, by the end of August, the prices of piglets will decrease by around 30% compared to the current price of 85 USD / piglet. The import of 20,000 pigs is expected to help supply the local pork industry and consumers until 2024.
