Experts fear that the impact of the coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent lockdowns in countries such as South Africa could lead to a cash flow problem in the country. Many consumers in Zimbabwe are dependant on emigrants sending money to their families to assist them in buying food products. Therefore the reduced salaries and loss of jobs that have occurred due to lockdowns in most parts of the world could lead to a loss of cash flow in Zimbabwe and subsequently lead to reduced food product sales in the country.
