The prices of Alaska pollock are declining in the European market, particularly in the Portuguese and Spanish markets. Warehouses in Europe, mainly in the Netherlands, are overstocked, and the prices are still declining. Some exporters offer off-cut fillets (block frozen) to processors and wholesalers in W46 for USD 3.64/kg EXW Netherlands, and pollock delivered to Portugal and Spain is priced at USD 3.85/kg, which is USD 0.10/kg less than at the beginning of November. At the beginning of 2023, new stock from the western coasts of the USA and Canada will start to arrive in Europe, and European warehouses will need room to store the new batches. As a result, pollock prices are expected to reach even lower levels in the months of December or January 2023.
