The Argentinian squid season fishing is progressing well in W5, aided by favorable weather conditions, particularly within the exclusive zone of the Argentinian Sea, where daily volumes are high. However, outside these limits, volumes are not favorable for the Chinese fleet. The majority of squid sizes currently harvested are categorized as "SS" and "S," with some "M" sizes as well. It is anticipated that as vessels move north to different areas and with subsequent tides, larger "M" and larger sizes will become more predominant. Currently, "SS" is priced around USD 3650 per metric ton (mt) and "S" about USD 3750/mt CFR Main ports.
