In W41, Australian Stone fruit (nectarines, peaches, and plums) have been delayed by two weeks (W41-42) due to recent heavy rains and weather conditions in major growing regions. Floods have restricted certain parts of Swan Hill, having only restricted road access in the area. The early varieties of Polar Light are expected at the end of November (2022), whereas pearl varieties will be available mid-December (2022). Due to the weather conditions, major export markets like China will be on a tight schedule to meet the pre-lunar new year demand, with only six weeks to ship before the holiday. Depending on fruit quality the pricing indicator will be released higher than last season, for Approx. FOB USD 3.90-5.52/kg (AUD 6.30-8.90/kg).
