Recent data shared by the Wine Australia association shows a 4% decline in exports from April 2020 till March 2021, making it a total of USD 2.15 billion. This value was heavily influenced by the tariff imposed by China on Australian wine in November 2020, particularly in the last 4 months.
The silver lining has been the growth in sales to the United Kingdom. In the same period, wine exports to the UK have experienced a 33% growth in value and a 21% growth in volume, making it a total of USD 355 million.
