The Ghanaian government has disclosed that the producer price for raw cashew nuts is set at GHS 5.00 per kilo, approximately USD 0.84 per kilo for the upcoming 2022 harvest season. The base producer price was agreed after several consultations with key stakeholders across the sector. With the announcement of the base producer price, farmers are not expected to trade below the price quoted by the government. Raw cashew nuts farmers across the country are generally expecting high yields for the 2022 harvest season, which will improve their livelihoods.
